Family Remedies

For Mums and Babies to be…

No period in a woman’s life can be as full of change and challenge as during pregnancy and the early days of motherhood.

Recognising this, Homeopathy has a great deal to offer, in fact this gentle form of medicine is ideally suited to treating many of the minor problems of pregnancy such as morning sickness or heartburn, and it can equally be of benefit in preventing many of the problems and complications of labour, in ways that conventional medicine cannot match.

For example the remedy Caulophyllum can help to strengthen contractions, speeding up an exhausting and lengthy labour. Arnica is another excellent and well known remedy, which can be taken before and after labour, to promote healing and minimise bruising for both you and your baby.

Julie quotes, my friend who I trained with commented:
“When I was a practicing midwife, I was often saddened not to be able to offer “gentle” remedies to bring relief to many minor discomforts of pregnancy, or to the distress of an unsettled baby, or even to the woman whose labour was prolonged through fear and apprehension.
It was until I trained as a professional Homeopath that I realised, there is in fact an easy and inexpensive way to relieve many of the physical and emotional disturbances that can accompany pregnancy and early motherhood, and I am still just as amazed and delighted by the results I see today.”

Here are just a few of the many good reasons why remedies can be helpful in your pregnancy:

  • They are effective and inexpensive
  • They have no contraindications or side effects
  • The remedies are safe to use for both you and your baby, even while breastfeeding
  • Having your own birthing kit of remedies allows you to take control and treat minor ailments and discomforts yourself
  • Constitutional homeopathic treatment can help boost your natural healing ability and strengthen your overall vitality
